A New Los Angeles

Briefing

The Los Angeles Dodgers are fresh off their first World Series win since 1988. This upcoming season would've marked 30 years into a gut-checking drought. Thankfully, The Xekutioner led Dodgers were able to snap that Championship-less streak and bring the Commissioner's Trophy BACK to Los Angeles. The city is still in a buzz as well as LA fans around the world but today we have other matter.

We recap the most recent press conference by Owner/General Manager, The Xekutioner, and his initiative into what is being called "A New Los Angeles". The recap includes the unveiling of a new logo, jerseys and baseball cap. Let's go ahead and take you back to a quite historic press conference here in Los Angeles.

"A New Los Angeles" Press Conference

*The Xekutioner makes his way to the podium to a ginormous applause and cheers*

X: Today, we have 'lots to celebrate. We have come a long way in the past 3 years stemming from minor wins and losses to major wins and losses. Throughout the course of LA history, this city hasn't been known for it's good looks, or better "posture". However, we have made strides to not only help the Dodgers of Los Angeles but the entire CITY of Los Angeles. My vision when I took over the Dodgers was to not only bring championships to LA but to bring peace and political justice to our society. Although, we cannot create a "perfect" society we can sure as hell do whatever it takes to clean up the moral environment here in the city of angels. We have done our best, as an organization and as people to come together and fight for what's right. Fight against crime. Fight against gang violence but best of all...fight against the evil that lurks within the city.

Ladies & Gentlemen....we have decided to go a new route in our city. We have decided to retire the "Dodger Blue" that has been historic but gang related here in Los Angeles. To bring to you...a new era....of Los Angeles. I present to you....A NEW LOS ANGELES!
*The crowd is in shock by the announcement but after a few seconds of observation many stand up to give a standing ovation*

X: Thank you, thank you! YOU SHOULD BE PROUD OF YOURSELVES! For all the hard work as people you have put in to create a better future for our children here in Los Angeles. THANK YOU!

While i understand that "dodger blue" is a complete past time in Los Angeles, we feel it has been abused to the point of no return. No fan should have to walk around with a blue jersey and feel unsafe. No fan should have to be questioned about their "allegiance" based on the type of LA symbol they wear. We've all been through it and we're here to clean up the streets and beat the SCUM that lives within. I hope you enjoy the new look for years to come! Our merchandise is now available for purchase as we gear up for the 2018 season and look to defend our championships!

Before we end this press conference today, we can definitely talk some baseball right? It has been quite a quiet off-season but we can finalize a few signings and trades made so far.

Many, including myself, were sad to see Wade Davis head across the country to Orlando in a trade made a few days ago. However, the compensation was hard to pass up as we received the 16th overall draft pick in this year's draft as well as Chris Magill. A very promising 21 year old right fielder to help bring some youth to our rather barren farm.

Our other moves come from Free Agency where we broke the glass of our "Window Shopping" to sign 2 power arms to add to our staff. First and foremost, Gio Gonzalez. The power lefty, formerly of the Washington Nationals, has agreed to a multi-year deal to come and pitch for the Los Angeles Dodgers! We're extremely excited to have him aboard as he is one of the best pitchers in baseball.

The next signing is Victor Alacantara. Former All-Star this past season, the 24 year old righty was exceptional this past season as he recorded 171 strikeouts in only 192 innings pitched. We hope to convert V-Al to a strong arm in the bullpen as we look to defend our championship this season.

We aren't finished Dodger fans so get yourself some new gear and be ready for our repeat run!
